Sure can! See the tracker. There is at least one person who filed in Texas and has his/her EAD approval date before the Finger Printing date
I also had got my EAD way before my 1st FP - but that was in 2005

Hi,
I have a pretty simple question.
A person decides to change employers, moving from company A to company B. It's been 180 days after 485 filing.
Question: what does company B have to do to legally take this person on as full time employee? Is the process any different than taking any other american resident employee? The way I understand is it is not any different.
Please advise,

Nothing. The employee must have EAD. That's all. Also, the employee should, but does not have to, ask for a letter with duties to be sent to USCIS to keep USCIS informed of the change.

Here in my city (Piracicaba - S�o Paulo/Brazil) there is a river (Piracicaba�s River) that crosses the center of the city.
I was driving near when i saw something not commom, a man fishing and giving the fishes to this "gar�as" (i don�t know the name of this bird in english). There was more or less 8 to 10 gar�as waiting the fish.
I took some photo and i post here to divide with you my friends.

That's a good sign for folks who wants to file green card next year and could not file this year becos of bad labor market
The most recent update from the USCIS is showing again a steady approval rate. The jump we saw in October was just due to a more current update of the approval, nit an increase in filing according to the USCIS. If this pace will continue we will see visas all through early 2010, but I may be wrong here...
Ao here is is the update from USCIS: As of November 6, 2009, approximately 54,700 H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) cap-subject petitions had been filed. USCIS has approved sufficient H1-B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees to meet the exemption of 20,000 from the fiscal year 2010 cap. Any H1-B petitions filed on behalf of an alien with an advanced degree will now count toward the general H1-B cap of 65,000. USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until a sufficient number of H-1B petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits, taking into account the fact that some of these petitions may be denied, revoked, or withdrawn.

Just went thorugh this 3 weeks ago. Same case as yours both for me and my wife. Wrong date stamped on my I-94 while returning from India.
Called the local international airport cutoms division and they made me come down to the airport and after showing the correct documentation issued new I-94 cards with correct I94 dates. Try this and you should face no problems i hope.
I'm from Michigan and i went to the Metro airport in detroit.

Her petetion is filed in May. And she travelled out of USA last month. So you need to do is to start working and get a visa stamp of H1 when you go out of the country.

I mailed my first EAD application in the last week of Dec/09.
Never thought it would take so long for receipting, and worried something wrong in my application..

Haitians might be eligible for TPS (Temporary protected status) because of the recent earth quake. Not sure if this applies for people already in USA or not.
Try exploring that. Like Madan said, you would need to be a citizen if you want to sponsor her GC.

I submitted an AR-11 (address change) form on 3/13/2008. The LUD changed the next day to 3/14/2008.
However, the LUD changed again yesterday to 3/17/2008. Has anyone had experience with AR-11 and LUD updates. If so, please share if multiple LUD updates are the norm for AR-11 changes....

I am in a very Bad situation it seems, please help.
I am working in US on L1B visa and Wife on L2. then Wife got a Job and her employer filled her 485.
In the mean time I applied for H1 (through a consultant, to get out of the L1B company). Looks like the H1 Got Approved. Now, I think the problem is, If I switch to H1, then she will loose her job and our chance of Getting EAD will go.
I do NOT want to go for H1, but EAD Is important to me. Is there a Way I can keep my L1? (so that my wife can keep her job)
Please help
