The packet was just asking me to confirm my address, and my soliciters address and details. They sent a copy to me, my soliciter, and my employer.
was mailed to me on the 18th of april.
on the cover letter, it said i had been sent these because my PD was about to become current, and or a visa number would be available for me within the next 3- 6 months.
My take on the Mumbi consulate, VB, is just wait and see. It says most other countries, not ROW...and to be honest, i am not guna belive anything untill i see it on the state dept web site. in the full VB which should be out next week.
Im consular processing, im not even on the USA yet, i have had my job held open for the last 2 years.
i carnt see row moving forward that much but i think it will move a little. i dont think it will move back.

Hi
My wife have H1B approved in 2005.Her stamping was refused on 226(g) section.She came to u.s.a on H4.Now her employer has applied for premium H4 to H1 transfer for her.
We didnot hear anything from them.It is already 2 weeks.
If it goes through.Does she need to go back for stamping to start working.
How the things will be?
How long the process will take (transfer)
If the attorney can help me in this,it is really great and appreicable

Anyone else experienced this? Primary applicant not getting fingerprint notice after EAD e-file?

I E filed EAD for my wife on April 1@TSC ... Never received FP.. On may 12 Received Ref for
not sending Photos :( , I sent photos now waiting ...
I E filed my EAD on April 26 , got FP on May 12 and Approval on 26 :confused:
I think lot of people didnt get FP's and you may get a REF for pics .

Anything can be done to push recapture bill?
A lot can be achieved, if all members honestly contact and meet and talk with the staff of the lawmakers in their town.
The problem with the EB Community/ IV members is that we think that going and talking with our lawmakers is not going to help. Or, we are under the impression that all politicians generally know everything about us and are just unwilling to do anything about it for political reasons.
The truth is that 90% of lawmakers and their staff have no clue that there are thousands backlogged and stuck in this process for a decade.
It is our job to educate, bring our issues to light and keep pressure on them to bring/cosponsor or vote for a meaningful bill that will allievate our problems.
When I visited my local congresswoman's office the first time in 2007- The staff was actually shocked to hear that I have done all the right paperwork and being employed and stuck for 5 years.
Over the years, I have met them many times and educated them about the issues and build a relationship. And yet, many times the staff wonders if there are really thousands of people like me affected, how is it that there is just me that is visiting them and talking about it.
Remember there are 435 house representatives and 100 senators. Each one of you are within driving distance (40 minutes) to a office of a rep.

I have contributed $320/- so far and just now signed up for $20/- per month. But I would definitely raise that amount very soon. Though I have contributed through other ways also besides financial contribution, at this moment this is the least I can do for myself and I am doing it.

The Dream act is seen by many as nothing more than an amnesty. If only they would only focus on the illegal children and include all other legal children and never reward their parents with a green card I feel there could be a workable solution so this act could go through
I have left a message with Durbin's legislator to contact me to try and get appointment to discuss and willing to fly anywhere at my own cost

right. in the AILA call also they cautioned that retrogression will become worse (dates moving back!) once USCIS starts processing all those July/August filers...
Going by that, I guess, dates may move forward very slowly until these new applications are dust-shed and taken for process. And, this may take atleast 6-9 months or more in my opinion (going by the processing times of various USCIS centers).
They have started FY 2008 with some caution after July fiasco and may ease it up a bit in the next couple of months. I am confident most 2002 cases and some 2003 cases would see approval in the next 3-4 months.

I'm ready to file AOS, while filling in the forms I realized that I have just one more page left in my passport which is valid for another 7 years.
- If I get a "new booklet" from the Indian Consulate, does it come with the same or different passport number?
- If it has a different passport number, does it affect the AOS application once the AOS has been filed with the previous passport details?

I am currently in 6th year of my H1 Visa. I had applied for labor certification (Atlanta center) in Dec 2006. In May 2007 I got the denial and my attorney requested for review/appeal. In case if they deny it again, then i need to re-apply. Since i am in 6th year of H1 and if I re-apply do I get the H1 extension? Please help.
