Hi folks,
We had the appt wt infopass the other day.I guess it was just like others,some kinda error and that happened opening the SR wt TSC.They said our case is preadjudicated.and said we may want to check on the case by making an appt wt the center but maybe NOT calling and opening a service request.What a waste of time n energy, all the agony we had to go through!!
NOW guys i have some other issue/question to ask u all.
After the EAD is approved do u necessarily have to be working for the same employer who sponsored for you? Ours is like future appointment.The USCIS wanted some docs from us this June re the appontment/work related.And yesterday when we asked that officer she said our case is preadjuticated as of Oct 2009.So far we have taken couple of paychecks frm the sponsoring company.But then we have our own small business also that has kept us going.And we were thinking of taking more paychecks after the GC is approved.Does that make sense to you guys? or are we at fault?

What is the procedure to file Tax from India? Please give your suggestion as I do not want to live any more. Please give your valueable input. I do not know how to start new thread in this forum.

If you have been here for 8 years,10 years or 15 years, u may not have got a GC but chances are that there are large number of immigrants with less than a year in the US, close to getting GC. my qualification is 10 + 12 + 3 BSc Physics + 3 MCA. My LC clearly states that a Master's is required.
does this qualify for a US Master's? please note the fields are different.
My i-140 has been denied and waiting for notice...mostly it education and i filed under EB2 in TSC...
any input guys?????

Who said the worries stop at GC? When I am on H1, my family could able to go and come back from my home country when ever they want. There was no restriction on how many days they need to stay in US to keep their status valid. Their H4 status is valid as long as I retain my H1.
Now after GC, they are mandated to be present in US for 6 months in a year to retain their GC irrespective of my status and they are not happy about it :(
Some may question what am I doing in IV after GC? Visiting IV is a habit for me and I will be depressed if I don't visit IV for a day :D. I also provide some useful information regarding various immigration issues by learning and passing it on to my friends and relatives and encourage them to come and visit IV by promoting it.
Anyway I am struck to IV even after I got my GC. I hope many fellow IV's will do the same to bring many people who seek immigration under IV :)

If you were July/Aug filer, it does not matter even if it is not cleared...

There should a seperate quota for immigrants from Jhumri Talliya
In the same lines as H1B, could we look into if its possible to add a quota for US Masters degree holders irrespective of country of birth for green Card also. This would be in addition to the existing Employment based quotas.
Does anyone know how they added 20k H1B quota for Masters degree holders? Who sponsored that bill? May be we should talk to the same people.
I would think there would be a little less resistance for this? This would ease the pressure on both EB2 and EB3.

I fail to see how this whole thing helps EB3-I/C. IV should work on measures that alleviate EB3-I/C pains.

Even if you paid cash, probably should have withdrawn from bank. And you should be having that bank withdrawl slip or you can go online to get a copy of your bank statement, which shows that you have withdrawn that amount - this is just a proof.
Now call your employer to refund all your money with interest and the loss that you incured for working all these years and the opportunity that you have lost for not filing I 485, else you would file a case agains him with police and FBI for taking cash as this would not provide any proof for filing labor and not filing I 485.
Now you threaten that you would file a suit against him, give all kinds of threats to these A**H***S. sorry could not control my words.
I am kind of same situtation but my employer filed my 485, but exploiting me.
