Hi,

When we apply for H1 Extension we need to get an approval from DOL before posting( Earlier it used be online and from july 1 2009 this cannot be approved online).

It seems as per the new DOL Requirements two notices has to be posted at two locations ( One at Employers office and one at the client location. U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
regulations requires that a Posting Notice be posted within your organization in two conspicuous locations for 10 consecutive business days)

As this H1-B posting info might contain the salary details etc. What happens if the client policies doesn't allow posting such notices ?? so what other options are available in such a case..

could some one please provide more details reg this...

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone (preferably a teen, im 15) would like to make a web design site for a part time job (after school or w/e) Im great with flash and ok with photoshop, fireworks, and dreamweaver. Also i would like some1 who is laid back and likes to have fun while working. I wont be paying anybody anything but we will split the earnings of what we do. I-485 pending with PD June 07 & valid EAD
Is it possible to apply for FAFSA for student aid as they require Green Card or US citizenship?
I see on FAFSA website one catagory as eligible non-citizens which includes applicants with I-94 & with atleast 1 yr parole validity.
Is this the same parole as I-131?

Hi All,

I am planning to get my H1B stamped in Chennai, India.
I got H1b extension last month for 3 years. I am planing to visit India in the month of Aug.
I need to know when do I make an appointment?
and will my name be added to PIMS if I make an appt?

Do I have to go to Chennai or I can go to any other Consulate for stamping?

What about PIMS verification, is there anyway I can have my name added to this database before I travel to India?

Anybody has any idea about this? Thanks in advance

Sorry for the delay in the answer. I have never heard of an import staying with your FLA file after being erased. It sounds like there is an error in Flash. I would recommend contacting our support - support@erain.com.

Here are some tips from my friend Rushvision on keeping file size low:

There are a number of different things you can do to decrease the file size of your exported SWF. Here are the some things for you to try.

Scale your objects down in the Scene Editor
Go to the Layout Page on the Properties Toolbar and decrease the scene size. You are working with vectors, so your images will scale back up very nicely once imported into Flash.
Some objects have settings that allow you to change the number of segments used to create it, such as the torus and the sphere. Decreasing the number of segments will reduce the amount of data that needs to be rendered.
Get rid of any unnecessary bevels. These add considerably to the total number of polygons that make up the objects in your scene.
In the Preview and Export Editor under the General Options, you can set the Detail Level to low.
Setting the slider farther over to Curves will usually result in a slightly smaller file size, but don't expect this one to work miracles.
Experiment with the different Fill Settings. There is no one setting that works best for every situation. Try combining outlines with some of the simpler fill settings to get the greatest amount of detail and the smallest file size. It will often be a compromise on some level.

just got my Labor approved a couple week ago and now i want to file I-140 premium processing. But my lawyer's not allow me to do that coz once my I-140 approve i can't file my 8 th year extension. My 7th years H1B will expire on Aug 30, 2007.

I'm very confused now, on my understanding once i get my I-140 approve, i'm eligible to get my H1B 3 years extension.

FYI: i chose CP opotion, is that make me not eligible to get my H1B extension once my I-140 approve?

Yesterday i got the mail from USCIS stating below. "My PD Dec 2006, INDIA, EB2 (I GOT MARRIED AFTER I APPLIED FOR I 485, SO MY WIFE IS NOT YET IN APPLICATION. I AM WAITING FOR DATES TO GET CURRENT FOR ME SO I CAN ADD HER INTO MY APPLICATION"

I dont know whether its a good sign or bad sign. I scanned and send this letter to my company and attorney.GURUS and EXPERTS pls help me!!!!!

Hasn't he given many speeches like this before as well? I mean he has been giving speeches on immigration since 2004 yet nothing has happened so far. He addressed it on State of the Union speech, prime-time speech from the oval office, and countless other occasions but what has been the end result - NOTHING. I wouldn't keep my hopes very high just because Bush said so. It�s all up to the congress now.

I know have gave many speeches and nothing happend, itz all about politcs, location was Arizona where he wanted to show many Reps about how border security is improved,

This is his first speech after STRIVE has been introduced, I am just forseeing on coming debate all over the media again,

I think they are probing link of your Civil Engineering and Computer Analyst job. They are looking for specific computer oriented language courses that show you have formal education in that and that should corraborate your work experience letters. Its well known that getting EB2 for computer analyst etc oriented jobs is getting difficult. They are now questioning more and more as to why analyst oriented jobs should require Masters and #2 they are looking for links between Civil Engineering education and Computer oriented job that you are trying for.!!!

Other than a MBA or MS, what else could be a better qualification for Analysts / Business Analysts??? Why shld they question the need for Masters? I was of the opinion that for a Business Analyst type profile, MBA would be apt / required to perform the duties.... your thoughts?

something this big will effect your status. Once you form an LLC or something on those lines using your EAD it is my understanding that you will lose your H1 status. This is just from what I have understood from reading around here. You might want to consult a lawyer. Also you might look at posting this in a different section.

Any specifics on the interview? Were you asked any documents to submit? Was the interview for both the applicant and the dependent?

Yes, I had been provided a standard list of documents to come prepared with. Some of them included:

1. All EAD's APs's
2. I 94
3. Tax returns last 3 years
4. If I have changed employers ac21, and paystubs( in my case I did, so I took copies of Ac21 EVL and recent paystubs)
5. Passport
6. Drivers license
7. All H1b's
8. Marriage certificate

There were other items in the list, but were not relevant to my case.

My ( and my wife's) interview happened July 30th in chicago at 8 am . I was asked to take an oath, and asked for some of the above documents one by one specially 4, and 1, 6 and 8. The IO had my complete file, and asked confirmatory questions on the information that I had provided in I485 form. It was a pleasant experience, and since my dates were not current then, he asked me to wait until it becomes current. Since I had 2 I 140's attached to my ac21 eVL , I reiterated that my case has been current in the past and I am EB2 and he was initially surprised, because he had not checked that I had a second I140, and said that he will make a special notation on my case that it was Eb2 and not Eb3 as was mentioned on the comments on the first page on the file( my gosh!!that was an eye opener inspite of my having provided all the right papers, and inspite of being together in a single file that they had right in front of me, the notation on the top still considered me as Eb3). My wife, who is a dependent on my case was asked same questions one by one. It took less than 30 minutes for both of us.

So, I am keeping my fingers crossed for Sept..........and I would like to think of myself as preadjuciated:) I received a soft LUD the very next day with no status change.

Really speaking I care more for the dates to get current so I can add my wife to my GC application and get her an EAD and AP. After that I won't mind if I have to wait for some more time before I get the actual GC in hand
