GC? no..I don't think I am going to get GC even this time also.
We had our FP done on July28th. Raised a SR on Aug-2, got a response on Aug-4th, that case is pending background checks, wait for 6 months before another followup.
I spoke to FBI customer service and they said they sent results on July 28th itself (I specifically asked if the results include background check also)
So as it stands, I have become a sucker this time also.:mad:

Yes, I invited my parents and my wife invited her parents while we are in AOS status. Currently I am on AOS/H1B and my wife works on EAD. For her parents, we showed my wife as sponsor in I134. Both my parents and my wife's parents got the visa. They went separately.

My NC is pending. And I am not getting the GC because of that. A lot of people with Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr 2006 are getting theirs and quite handful with 2003/2004 are stuck. What could be the reason for this inconsistency, obviously NC.

My H1 extension expires on March 08, Have EAD, Work for the same employer who sponsered my GC.
Does my employer has to apply for my H1 extension ? Should I use EAD to work with my same employer (what paper work I have to do ?).
Hypothical question, If I use EAD to work, lets say there is a delay in getting my EAD renewed even though I apply 120 days in advance, should I stop working and start working only after I get my new EAD ??
Some may find these as irrelvant thoughts/questions, but we are in this limbo state and it is better to know.

To answer your questions:
1. Transfer from H4 to F1 is very straight forward and you can do it yourself. I did the same for my wife.
2. You need to show 1 yr expenses in your account.
3. One year should be fine.
4. If your parents want to fund her study, then you have list them as one of the sponsor and then show the money in the bank.

My 140 was approved in 2007 ,but today i got email from USCIS ,

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. We talked to the DOL people. They said that since my wife didnt start working with them on H1 and never really worked with them we dont have a basis for claiming the 1500 dollars in filing fees. Do you think this is correct? If so what else do you think we can do on this case? Thanks for your reply.

Per law employer states that he/she has a project on hand and its their responsibility to pay for the filing fee of the applicant. So you have every right to sue the employer for the same. Was there a gap between the time your wife got H1 and she subsequently got an EAD? If yes you can claim salary from the day her H1 was approved and you got the 797 in hand.
BTW your lawsuit might end up costing more than the $1500 you paid but if you want to do the right thing go sue the employers a$$

Don't go for the ICICI home loan. They are the first ones to increase the interest rate when ever theres a RBI changes the base rate. And the last one to decrease the interest rate when ever there's a base rate change. And some times they don't decrease at all.
They start charging higher interest rate than the fore said rate once you taken the loan from them. On top of it they charge 2% extra for the prepayment amounts. Best is SBI.
