I hope someone with a 27" helps you out soon.

I'm looking to buy a 2010 from the Refurb store tonight [early hours tomorrow] so may be able to help in a few days time if the answer is still outstanding.

The stock analysts have target prices on Apple as high as $550.
I have absolutely no doubt that will happen, so I am holding my large position in Apple.

A broker can give you suggestions how to buy without a SS#.

I have a Mx 1000 too, and as everyone else has said, it is the best mouse I have ever used. It glides effortlessly on my desk and is very accurate and smooth. At first, it sees a little big and heavy, but you get used to it because it is very comfortable. According to logitech's site, the battery lasts 21 days. I haven't timed it, but that is about how long it lasts for me. Amazon had the cheapest price when I ordered it. Check there. It is a bit expensive, but it's worth every penny.

I would recommend to hold off any GPU purchases until Lion is released.

You had to physically remove the lens cap before shooting but I still thought it was great.
That might be why all of my images are too dark - I left the lens cap on :p

    Hi,

Has anyone been able to force an apple store to guarantee a Lion O/S upgrade for free with the purchase of a Macbook pro now?

    Just curious.

    Thanks!

Usually the Up-to-Date programs start on the day the announce the release date (or announce something more specific than "summer"--like a month) and end a few months after the release.

The Snow Leopard UTD lasted from June 8 to December 29.

A big problem with the big megapixels is the amount of storage they take on your phone. You cannot adjust the megapixel size down with a phone camera like you can with a point & shoot camera. A 16 megapixel camera in a phone will not give you a better picture than a 5 megapixel camera in a phone. A phone just does not have the room to install a quality sensor.

On the front page, I had a spinning beachball for a few minutes and could not exit. Doing the software update which included Safari and Java seemed to solve this problem, but I'm not sure if that was the cause.

the pics of the 17" make me feel so inadequate with my 12", but its great for traveling. You can bet though, when i go to grad school in a few years i'm going to let my g/f have this 12" and i'm going to buy the 17". I love mine, don't get me wrong, and its great for travel too and from school, but i'd like a desktop replacement, and with a bigger external HD and loads of Ram i think that the 17" would be ideal for me. Anyone feel the same?

No. I think the 1Ghz is the better deal.

I really like the value of the 867- finally a non-crippled Pro machine at $1699 or $2699 in Canada is great. I'd wait until the next upgrade to even consider the top of the line.

I was thinking that I would probably hit the mall that night. Even if I don't buy anything I am sure there will be demo's and stuff to play around with Leapord. If I end up going it would be nice to meet up with other MR members while there. :)

Incorrect. Turbo boost is "dynamic overclocking". Depending on the current number of cores being used and if additional processing power is required, the CPU will slowly increase the clock rate for the currently active cores. It'll do this incrementally until the thermal operating limit of the processor is reached.

Umm, isn't that pretty much exactly what I described in my OP? Albeit I didn't use the phrase "dynamic overclocking".

Not here to argue my infraction (although I don't really agree) but I was wondering how many infractions it takes before you are banned?

This is why my sister doesn't like macs, because she can't get on her friends' myspace sites on my mac mini:rolleyes: .

Hey everyone I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, so if it isn't please point me in the right direction.
Anyhow I recently "found" a Macintosh TV, did a fresh install of System 7.1, hooked up my Genesis and... it seems like I'm missing half the frames per second. Both RF and video in have the same problem.
I've changed the very limited options in both TV Setup and Monitors and I still have the same problem. Will installing 7.6 change anything or am I stuck missing half the frames?

EDIT: Ok it's not half the frames missing but it's still noticeable. Also is there a way to adjust the picture quality, the video in is extremely blurry with multicolored artifacts everywhere.

It sounds as if the TV tuner card may be having issues. The way it works in that system is that the TV tuner card does *ALL* of work. It then throws the video over the digitally-rendered content from the Mac OS. The analog video cannot be 'captured' on a Macintosh TV, and cannot be manipulated at all within the OS; so the OS is irrelevant. It's a piece of hardware slapping the video live as it comes in over the computer graphics. Any "slowdown" is purely in the hardware tuner.

I think that we and 9to5mac have given this guy quite a stimulus. It's at >$500 right now.

Tried rebooting...I still have the same issue.

I have the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.5) and I updated my software today.

I've decided that I don't really want to part out the machine if I do actually sell it. Right now it's looking like I have a good idea of what I want to do with both machines in the future so I may hold off on selling them.

But, how did the iPod fit perfectly on an iPhone 4 case?

It didn't, there's no way it would be a good fit.
