Will all the resellers buying all the AT&T versions I call BS on those stats.
Go to a store and I guarantee you can't buy an at&t model, but vzw are in stock everywhere.
There is NO way Vzw is outselling AT&T version, NO way, it's impossible.
My guess is maybe people in the mid-west would PREFER vzw, but they'll never buy one anyway...

Should we tax those in high crime areas more because police respond there more often?
I was poking at SactoGuy18 and his evangelistic "Flat Tax" posts.
I went car free two years ago. I'd gladly pay a tax based on my use of the roads, whether it be by bicycle or bus. Or even the rare occasions I use ZipCar.
There's a serious rethinking going on about the use of automobiles in society. Whether it's London's congestion charge or San Francisco's dynamic parking meter rates or the total rethinking of requiring retailers to have x number of "free" parking spots.
The days of free roadways and free parking are over.

Interesting thought though. His rejection said it was for ridiculing public figures, but their policy rejects defamatory material. There is certainly a fine line, but the line most certainly exists. You can ridicule someone till the cows come home without engaging in defamation. The distinction is probably too difficult for anyone without extensive legal background to make on a regular basis and in a timely manner.
Apple should just drop the defamation clause, which may be difficult for them to do to.
I'd say Fiore flirts with that line often enough, Pulitzer winner or no. I don't know the legal technicalities, but I would think Apple would do themselves a favor by letting the lawyers figure out what's defamation and what isn't. I can't see how they could be held responsible for someone else's words, but I'm not a lawyer.

From what I read, the Intel HD 3000 is actually better-performing on OS X than the Nvidia 320m. People are paranoying this Intel 3000 issue like it's the plague, while in reality they are basically the same in terms of performance.
I don't have the money, but if I was to buy a MBA, I'd surely buy it once the Sandy Bridge version came out.

I keep going to Task Manager and clicking "End Task" over and over and over and over and it just won't quit. What's up with that? On my iBook everything just works like it's supposed to to a much greater degree than on my PCs.

I don't see Apple getting more than 10% marketshare anytime soon unless they do something significant.
I don't know anybody who has switched. I've known a few people who seriously considered it, but when they learned they'd have to spend another $200 for Windows XP so they can run their 'XP Only' things, they settled on a PC.
I think Apple is more concern with building beautiful computers and fabulously looking music player than they are about selling large amount of PCs or mp3 players. Case in point, my office mate has a dell laptop and when we place our laptops next to one another (mine is a black MacBook) you can definitely tell. Personally, the reason why I brought the MacBook instead of a HP laptop that cost $500 less is because the HP laptop is ugly. It is simple. I don't care about the amazing video card that has a trillion bytes of RAM that I will never see. My MacBook works well (iLife, Safari and Office suite) and looks gorgeous!
If Apple continues to create stylist electronic devices that are simple to use and help people do things easily, they will gain marketshare albeit not by much.

Let the Bush tax cuts expire...I would support a tax increase on the middle and low class. With all this cutting, they will be spending more money on basic things.
I real hope that Congress focuses on the big things, medicare, medicaid, social security and the military. Cutting other programs are such a tiny percent of the budget(I believe I've heard 10%,but I'd be interested in a source confirming or denying)
Increase the age for medicare, cut benefits for wealth in medicare and social security. Cut the military by pulling troops in Germany and Japan back home. And continue winding down Iraq and start doing so in Afghanistan in 2012 as promised. But as they are winding down, cut the budget for the money the wars demanded.
And then any cuts for smaller programs will be for political points, but it might have a few dollars as well.

Come on, people! This isn't Photoshop. This is a beta. If it is an entirely new application, why should they develop it for PPC? I don't understand all the fuss. Anyone in need of audio software has plenty of options out there. Remember, this isn't even 1.0 yet. It won't be for a while.

All this image shows is that the person measuring the white iPhone 4 has no idea how to use a caliper. The idea of a caliper isn't to squeeze the crap out of whatever you're measuring. It is obvious that the in the right picture they are squeezing much harder just looking at the discoloration of the persons skin on their thumb.

100-150 euro more for it is a lot. Retailers are already throwing deals together such as free game, or at least cheaper game plus extra controllers.
I got the new machine with extra black controller, Pure & Lego Batman + newly released ToyStory 3 free.

Hmm... Plastic parts from China. He probably pays $5 max for each kit. Very good profit I would say.
Also if the kid was smart he should have incorporated or created an LLC and than imported and sold all the merchandise under that company. If he did that than his legal liability is pretty limited. They could sue his company for what it was worth. Probably not much. The could fine his company, which he could just shut down and pay none of the fines. He could get away with it with barely paying anything. How do you think all these companies that import Kirf products work?
