I have EB2 i-140 approved with PD Dec. 05. I am planning to change the employer.. was just waiting to see if CIR gonna help.. but looks like its not. If I change job now, I will have to do labor, i140 once again!! might be able to maintain PD. .. my question is... I believe that in Octo. 06, new quota for GC will be available. What are the guesses that the PD will become current (at least for Eb2 India) in Octo 06?? Some educated guesses are highly appreciated.
The answer to your first question is yes. You can change employers without any impact, by using AC 21 provisions.
Regarding the second question: EB2 India is going to take a long time to come to 2005 PD. I would say, atleast another three years.

I am planning to file my 7th year extension and would appreciate some one who can provide some guidance. I have a pending I-485 (July 2007 filer).

a) How much in advance we can submit HIB petition. I read some where H1B can be applied six month in advance.

Your mention of 30 miles maximum, I believe, refers to distance to your work place. It is a lot of distance to commute at rush time. Nevertheless, Ferederick County is your best bet, where a small SFH or a good size TH can be found for your price.
BTW, why do you need "Lots of Indians". Don't you want to be part of the main stream if you have decided to live here?

I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don�t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don�t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don�t count me as anti � immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.

Just heard this from my friend. His case is exactly the same (I140-NSC approved, July 2nd 9:01 R.Mickels filer). His got transferred to Texas and got receipts last week. No EAD's yet. Got receipt for FP date today.

Its a common practice. Don't worry, you will get your new DL in mail before 30 days. Samething happened to me when i moved to Maryland state, they took my old DL and gave the new DL. You cannot have more than one DL at any time and so they have to take the old one.
Did they give you a temporary one or they straight away issued a new permanent DL. Right now all I have is a sheet of paper with my name that states temporary drivers license. I cant even walk in a bar to buy beer ... its annoying!

my advice to you is try to do it in person. i did it a few months ago in houston. i know a lot of people are not lucky enough to be close to a consulate. but when you apply in person, and you say that you will pick up your passport in person, then you take most of the problems away involving postal delivery and receipt of the passport.
so even if it may hurt to drive for a few hours, it may be well worth the drive. afterall passport with a visa stamp is probably the most important document you will ever have in your possession while you are on H1-B.
the way it works in houston is - you submit all the paperwork etc. during morning hours. they will tell you to come and pick up your passport after 3-4 weeks. you go there say a couple of days after they told you to come, pick up your passport...go home...effortless.:cool:
so even if it may hurt to drive for a few hours, it may be well worth the drive. afterall passport with a visa stamp is probably the most important document you will ever have in your possession while you are on H1-B.

Thanks again to everyone. I will ask him to join IV. :) He like me has been in the country for over 10 years. The combined stress (finding a partner plus this gc dragging thing) has made him catatonic to some extent.
He is just doing his job and looks beyond caring about anything anymore.But I worry for him so thats the reason for the post.

I have filed for my renewal EAD on May 29th at NSC. My current EAD expires on Sept 24th. I havent got the renewal EAD yet, where as my wife got it both applications were sent in the same envelope. I am working on EAD and am losing sleep since if my EAD doesnt come in time I will be out of my payroll.
Has some one gone to the local USCIS office to get the interim EAD recently? I was told that option no longer exists.
Can some one post the FAX #s to expedite EAD requests?

I remember reading in one of the threads here that USCIS computer system automatically generates FP notices if its more than 15 months. By the way, if they don't issue us one, why we do need to ask them using congressmen etc? Is the burden of giving FP every 15 months falls on the applicant?

I guess we need another tracker for those who received EAD, but no SSN.

My PD is Mar, 2005 filed under EB2. Me & My wife got an RFE asking status for a particular period [like May 01, xxxx to Feb xxxx]. These dates exactly fall under just one month before graduation to OPT expiration.
For my case �.. no issues providing evidence and everything is straight forward.
But for my wife �.we have some issue (I think)
USCIS wants her status from May 01, 2003 to Mar 01 2006.
She graduated on May 23, 2003. She used 60 days grace period before applying for EAD.
OPT from July 31, 2003 to July 30, 2004 [exactly one year and was looking for job�didn't find one]
We filed H1B in April, 2004 so that she can start working from Oct, 2004 [H1B approved for Oct 2004 to Sep 2007 ..extension approved too�]
But No status from July 31, 2004 to Sep 30, 2004 [USCIS issued a gap relief for all the F1 students like this]�.
What are odds that her case might we rejected�any opinions here.
