I disagree with this statement. Your most compelling argument of preponing your visa interview is that they have opened slots which were not earlier available and you would like to finish this process and keep some time incase some additional documentation was required, you would have the time to get it. Also, there is NO RULE that says you cannot prepone appointment.
Also, I suggested you get a fresh appointment at Mumbai (your original appointment was in Chennai - correct?)

I called the customer service # on 11/04 and the guy told me that he is sending email reguest for my FP and I got FP notice (my attorney's office also got one) on 11/13. Hope this helps.

where they will check for transit visa in usa while boarding or in frankfurt or in india while return ?

I got LUDs on 2/10 on both mine and my wife's 485. My wife got an RFE email on 02/13. I do not know what this means either...
Looks like lot of EB-3 applications who filed 485 at the end of june got LUDs last week, some with RFE and some just soft LUD.

Folks,
I agree 100% with the previous post person.
I myself am a PMP. It is very easy to do one, you need to have the right project mgmt experience (PMI may audit it) and you need to prepare for few months and you can clear it easily.
But the question is, more than the exam it is the practical experience, sometimes this job can be so frustrating and you feel like a sandwich being hit on both sides.
If you already have a PM experience and you dont have the certification, definetly go for it, it is worth the spending.
Again remember it expires in 3 yrs , you got to keep renewing your PDUs to stay current... its not like MCSD or MCAD which is for life long...

Having said all this, I think it is safe to stay for a few months and then move on.. Wehave waited for nearly a decade.. what's the problem in staying for 4 months or so.. just take a vacation and go to India.. A month will go while in India, couple of months in planning and another month in recovering from Jet lag.. there you go.. it is 4 months now..

Hello All,
I suggested this in my last two posts and I am suggesting this again. Emails , faxes to Rep will not create visibility of the problem. What we need to do is, do something big, like a DC rally again. One of the benefits behind doing this will be, everyone in this country i has their eyes on DC for presidential elections. Hence more visibility for us.
Secondly the topic of these three bills is hot, if we don't do anything now, it will turn cold, and then will be forgotten.
What we really need is a huge volume of high skilled workers in DC, not just a handful. Please let us all get together in DC again and push for these bills. We will get a lot of visibility. How about sending flowers to congress members?
Please let us all act on it!!

Why do you think I should go for a new H1? I can always call my wife on a visitor visa. She can stay on a visitor visa in US for 1 year continuously. So why bother for an H4?

She may not get a visitor's visa. Visitor's visa requires non-immigration intent, just like F-1. In your case, there is a very clear intent to immigrate, which may disqualify her from getting a visitor's visa.
