If this the kind of response we get for something as simple to do as this - either people have stopped visiting these forums or just plain not interested in doing anything about the situation they are in.

We can get a employment verification letter. But now a days you need employment verification letter for many things. Just recently, jan 2009, I carried EVL for visa stamping. Now, my DL is expiring, should I ask them again for EVL. It has become more like HR nightmare for having a non-immigrants in the copany. These taylor made rules are not appropriate. When driving is a basic necassity, I could not comprahend why they need all additional documents. Any ways if this is true I have to ask my HR again to provide me one. Hope they do not get mad at me.
My HR already mad at me. Because
(1) First EVL - for AC21 job change
(2) Second EVL - to answer NOID
(3) Third EVL - for travel on AP
All the above in 3 months gap each after joining. Now if I ask for one more saying I need it for driver's license - she may ask if I also need an EVL to go to six flags or ride the NYC Subway
My HR already mad at me. Because

Anybody Travelled with only Advance Payrole through Frankfurt recently please post ?
where they will check for transit visa in usa while boarding or in frankfurt or in india while return ?
My nationality is Indian. Presently i am residing in USA . I have " Advance Payrole Document " . I am planning to travel in this February 2011 from " Atlanta -> Frankfurt -> India(Hyderabad) " and return is in May 2011 from " India(Hyderabad) -> Frankfurt -> Atlanta " in lufthansa airways.
So shall i go for this round trip with a valid " Advance Payrole Document " only ? or i need to have " Air Transit Visa ? If i need Air transit Visa could you please let me know how to apply and what documents i need to submit .
please help already buyed tickets from lufthansa website. non refundable ticket. before that one time i cancelled ticket. airport transit visa shall we apply by post/mail ? in person cant go because very far totally 30 hors drive that too with infant driving not possible . please help ?
While pending i-485 if i applied for German airport transit visa is there any negative concerns because of that ?

On the way to India, they just make sure you have a Indian visa(or passport) and on way back, they just check if you have US visa(or AP). Don't worry too much, believe me, it is more of an embarrasment for Lufthansa ,in front of several hundreds of travellers, to deny boarding to someone without transit visa. If they do it, they know they would get free negative publicity that would erode their traveller base for years .

I think he would want to see a locksmith to get the damaged "lever" rectified before he sees a doctor lest someone should compromise the lock and break in while he is away to see the doctor.

A question was asked about the volume of employment-based I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status cases pending with NSC as of April 2008. Also asked was how many of the cases had current priority dates. The NSC advised that they had, at that time, approximately 190,000 EB I-485s. They also clarified that they do not track cases solely by priority date. While we are aware that cases were not tracked by priority dates, from the questions we receive, it is worth reiterating to our readers. Our firm see questions, frequently accompanied by outrage, asking why I-485 cases with later priority dates are approved prior to those with earlier priority dates. The answer is simply that the USCIS service centers do not re-sort or track I-485s solely based upon priority dates. Case processing is based upon filing date, but I-485s cannot be approved if the priority date is not current. The NSC also referenced the need for an I-485 to be what they refer to as "viable" in order to be approved. Viable cases are those with approved I-140 petitions, clean fingerprint and name-check results (or name checks pending over 180 days), as well as being eligible for visa issuance, based upon priority date.

Unfortunately, this will require change in Law and is not an Admin Fix
I request everybody to add one line in the letter for Consular processing filers as they should be allowed to get AC21 and EAD facilities now. This law came earlier only for 485 filers because CP process was fast but now due to retrogession all CP filers are waiting for Years and in the worst sitauation as 485 filers are enjoying their freedom with AC21 and EAD

Great point arihant. What all of us have to remember is that even if we don't have voting powers, if we can prove that it is in the interest to USA to change these antiquated laws, the lawmakers will act. That is precisely what we are doing currently with the help of QGA.
