I will get my H1B this October. How long should I stick with the same company before transferring? I read somewhere that I should stick with them for atleast 3 months after Oct 1st. Is this true?

I think these days especially (Nebraska service center) is looking for every possible to give RFE. RFE Looks like not complicated but you need to explain in detail every item.

First of all if it is PP you will get possible approval in few days.
It may not be a good idea to go for stamping with only 3 months remaining on I-797; and these days they are also issuing 221g left and right.

Mcom+MBA+Mphil +NET + 5 yrs exp as lecturer in Delhi.
In my experience, that level of qualification might cut it for a community college (that gives associate degrees) or adjunct positions (very low paid temporary positions) in 4 year colleges, but won't for a full time tenure track position (requires Ph.D.). Business schools might have some flexibility in hiring if the person has a very strong business background (e.g., CEO of some company).
Anyway, most academic positions are advertised in academickeys.com and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Around bay area, other than Stanford and Berkeley, you have SJSU.

I've read the first two chapters of the book. The first chapter provides an excellent insight into the history of Immigration. Although we had some knowledge of how things progressed in recent past, this book provides is an extremely relevant and detailed true description of the events, the bills in 1990s, 2006 and 2007, and so on.

If you can afford it, you should hire an attorney.
A good lawyer is worth every penny.
You, on the other hand, should play your part by being "aware" and not blindly relying on the lawyer. Your job should be to double check documents for accuracy/correctness and asking questions to the lawyer and IV to clear doubts. Making sure the lawyer is abiding by all the immigration rules as defined by the law would be another task.

Guys, please don't start Indian firm bashing here. This site is being visited by people of other nationalities as well as offices of the lawmakers. We don't want to throw mush on the companies of our own country and look small. The info spgtopper has asked for is being asked by our lobbyst, so I would appreciate if you provide the relevant info.

I totally agree with black_log. Involving Indian firm or trying to use Indian political influence can cause sever damage to our cause. Its not just applies India abut any nation other than US. Unfortunately this is not the first thread of its kind.
Instead of having TCS, Infosys or Wipro trying to put influence why cant we have companies like Google, Intel, Micrsoft, Cisco or Yahoo. Their voices will be heard with respect.

Hi called USCIS to find out about my I-485 application....the lady who answered my call told me that my application was under extended review....she would'nt disclose much nor did I ask any additional info.
I did google for Extended review + I485 and found out a couple of links where people have been stuck in extended review for days / months / years....don't know what to make of it....
my PD is May 2004 and RD is Aug 9 2007 ...EB2 India....The lawyers have not received any RFE/ any email from USCIS since the day I have filed my I-485...I found out about it today when I called to just inquire about my case status ...
Anybody else had similar issue or heard about "extended review"...
Admin's any knowledge about what this is....
