I just got my wife's medical done ...from the same place where I got mine.
There is not need of the xray. If you have proof of vaccination good else they will take some of your blood and do your immunization test and return the SEALED envelope after 3 days. cost $190
For TB test some times you might need to do the X-ray after the skin test if the result is 5mm or higher. These kind of tests are not suggested for pregnant women and the doctor will keep a note.

We have an interview opportunity with a national TV channel. If you/anyone you know is interested, please contact Immigration voice.
could we talk about this rather than keeping on talking about Mr eastindia?
I would but I am not sure my story is the most compelling since EB3 ROW is by far not as bad off as EB3I or EB3C.
Whoever goes would have to leave anger at home though, I dont think anger will help us get through to people, emotion yes though?
Maybe we can figure out whos story would make the biggest impact and who is good at speaking, some might not feel comfortable doing thsi?
Thanks Pappu!

Thank you sanan, I guess you meant Antibody titer test (immunization test)
So what you are saying is, if one does not has the Vaccination record, concern DR would do this immunization (Antibody titer) test in place of vaccination record and can you confirm that you have gone thru exact scenario ?
I would say 90 % in the same boat :p No sweat. They will do an immunization test. You could even get the vaccinations taken

I couldn't find any of your blogs in IV blogs!
Anyway as someone suggested can you post all of your transactions in the last one week, atleast. Did you gain or lose?
What is the percentage profit you made since you started day trading, last year, last three months, last month, last week, etc.
Dude relax.......
Do you want me to read out my balance sheets to you ....why dont I also tell you about all prescription meds I take along with those of my neighbors.
Do you think this is some kind of chit fund Scam here. Youve gotta rise above that now.
No one is forcing anyone to read any blogs or posts.
READ my first post .......I do this cause I feel good about it ..you dont need to go all ballistic ......
Why are some of us so irritated and ready to blow....Channelize this energy into some thing good...Go build a tree house or something
I am not here to say use my method I am here to say "HEY check this out It works "
Well Now I traded last month with about 30% realized profit .... Realized means I took it out of the brokerage account so Now I have taxes on it
If you keep your earning in the brokerage for a year or more you get to pay less taxes .
No I will not make, bake and serve cake for you mr redgreen . YOU need to get your lazy ass up and make it. I will show you how it can be made .

I am looking for advice on the strategy for filing the third phase since the PDs for my wife and me have become current. My PD is Feb 2003 (EB2) and my wife's is June 2003 (EB3). My wife and I are on 8-th yr H-1B extensions with approved I-140s. Which strategy makes sense and are they even valid? The objective is to go with a risk-free strategy that gets us the GC in the quickest manner.
1. I apply for I-485 (AOS) using my PD, with my wife as dependent. And my wife applies for I-485 (AOS) using her PD, with me as dependent.
2. I apply for I-485 (AOS) using my PD, with my wife as dependent. And my wife applies for Consular Processing using her PD, with me as dependent. OR vice versa.
3. Any other option?
Thanks,
Jayant

Do you know the story of the crow getting to the water by putting pebbles into the jug which had very little water?
Well, here we are: the water is IV's target...the pebbles are the contributions ($200, great, but $20, still good!!) from a large number of members. It's impossible to justify why one can not contribute $200 when the core members and some others like you & anurakt have given so much more. I believe it is equally important to encourage as many members to contribute as much they can.
No contribution is too small if it is actually made. An ounce of action is better than a pound of intention!
The weekness in this analogy is the absence of a time limit on the crow. If the crow will die by a certain time, then the crow better start putting bigger pebbles.
It will take 10 months to pay $200 if you pay $20/month. Legislation may start coming up in Feb. Money is needed to get the issue on the table and NOT when the issue is on the table. That time is right now.

I can imagine what was going through Slumdog's mind. But believe me, I was in similar situations twice in 2001 and 2003, well, not exactly, I should say, our entire department of 89 were wipped off keeping just our big boss on board. 100 guys came from India and looked over our shoulders for couple of weeks, we were asked to train counterparts and ensure the success on everything that we used to do on a daily basis. At the end of the month all of us were out of work. Jobs were shifted to outsourcing company in india.
I was feeling terrible for couple of days but found a job after 2 weeks and the history repeated again after 14 months. Similar situation but different faces. This time the pain was not as bad as it was during the first time. Ofcourse, I had to move to west coast leaving my cherished home and live in a rented apratment..
But my friends, looking back at the events, I can see that those situations solidified my convictions and made me much stronger. I truely believe, well, I know now that what ever happened in the past was for my good.
If you really think, all our worries are either the things that has happened in the past or anxiety about future. Past is gone and future is unknown. Do not think too much about future or past... we all want to be happy and happiness is available only in the present moment as some one said. We miss very easily as constantly present is turning into past.
Its one thing to know what is going on around us and other to be fearful and feeling defeated... we have to walk that thin line.
I agree with Nixtor on his points :)
Slumdog,
Greed and lack of understanding
Want to make easy money. People think that Real estate value does not fall, just like in the places where they come from, where property has two values, Market value and government value with a huge differential.
Do I/We really need a house?
Save money on Taxes
Bad Realtor
DINKS So we are good
Peer pressure :) :)
Down payment
As President O said, we collectively failed to take difficult and correct decisions even though the greed and deception can be attributed to some people on the wall street.

02/02/2007: What Did Senator Kerry Immigration Reform Bill Mean to EB Immigrants?
In highsight, the failure of the Kerry Amendment to H.R.2 to pass the Senate could be considered a relief to the EB immigrants. Review of the immigration reform bill in the H.R. will establish that the bill proposed for the employment-based immigration system practically nothing other than increasing the annual quota to 290,000. None of the provisons in the SKIL bill was reflected in the bill, including exemption of the spouses and children from from the numerical limitations, exemption of certain EB groups from the annual numerical limits, opportunity for filing I-485/765/131 for the I-140 beneficiary during the visa number retrogression, etc. etc. etc.! Had this been enacted, it would have affected the upcoming CIR bill or special legislation for Employment-Based immigration system reform. This reporter was shocked to learn that this bill provided practically no relief for the employment-based imigrants other than farm workers and the children eligible for DREAM Act bill. The bill was extremely imbalanced legislation in a way from the perspectives of the "Comprehensive" Immigration Reform.
We will see whether the Senate leaders will indeed complete and introduce the CIR proposal next month.

The number of cases approved during 2002-2005 was at least 2-3 times what was being approved now(when recapture was in force)... improving efficiency will not give us any more visas... if there are 100k waiting for a GC they will still keep waiting no matter how efficient USCIS is. The fact of the matter is that they can only approve 3k per category per country. recaptured visas are free of country and category caps. It will not cause divisions or issues and will help unite everyone behind one cause. Other short term issues dont help(multiyear EADs or APs and such)...they just prolong the pain and drain money every year. The queue can only be reduced, by time or attrition or more output... we can all agree which is better.
Firstly the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of un-used visa's is a clear indicator of poor USCIS efficiency. Even if the recapture visa effort bears fruit and people will get interim benefit it will do nothing to improve the efficiency of processing cases at USCIS which I think is the root cause of this problem. Yes there is also a supply and demand situation but unless USCIS improves the delays and backlogs may not stand a chance.

All you folks cheering are plain stupid. All this will do is make the GC process extra long and tedious.
Mark my word. It is a very "stupid" action.
Extra Long and tedious? Is it any short and swift right now?
My pd is June 2003, what do you expect me to do? Wait 5 more years?

What do we say when people correlate illegal and legal immigrations as closely connected?
There was a hearing yesterday in the house "Should We Embrace the Senate's Grant of Amnesty to Millions of Illegal Aliens and Repeat the Mistakes of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986?"
Look what Mr. Steven A. Camarota (Center for Immigration Studies) quotes in his testimony (shown in italics): (http://judiciary.house.gov/media/pdfs/camarota071806.pdf)
...many observers have pointed out that when you reward law breaking, you make legal immigrants who have played by the rules, and in some cases have waited many years to come to our country, look like fools for taking Americas law seriously.
True. But see what he says then...
...Amnesties and Increased Legal Immigration Dont Solve Problem. Amnesty spurs more illegal immigration, as does increases in legal immigration. A 1997 report from the INS found that there was a surge of new illegal immigration when the 1986 amnesty went into effect. The increase seems to have been the result of family members joining their newly legalized relatives
One of the most controversial provisions in S2611 is the very large increase in legal immigration it creates. The larger the pool of immigrants (legal or illegal) in the United States, the greater is the pull for more illegal immigration. Illegal aliens often live with legal immigrants and it is legal immigrants who often provide information about jobs and housing to their relatives and friends back home. Legal immigration has been increasing for more than three decades, and illegal immigration has been increasing right along with it. The top sending countries for legal immigration are by and large the top sending countries for illegal immigration. A survey funded by the National Institute of Health found that one-third of new legal immigrants were former illegal aliens. Legal and illegal immigration are closely linked. The past shows that if you increase one you increase the other. The Senate bill repeats the mistake of thinking amnesty plus increases in legal immigration will solve the problem. It did not in the past and there is no reason to think it will this time around. Instead, S2611 will almost certainly stimulate more illegal mmigration...
Obviously Mr. Camarota was generalizing the legal immigration and was not talking about employer sponsored immigration.
