I mailed mine on 9 th April. Just follow the check list from consulates website.
Sent $60 Money Order. Recieved the passport along with the old one on 28th April 2009.
My experince has been good.They promptly replied to my emails.

Just checked again and the last 2 approvals are
PD 3-15-05 RD 6-12-07
PD 10-21-04 RD 6-29-07
So they are past the June 8th date, looks like they are still processing pre PERM applications though.
PS pappu, I updated what I know exactly (PD RD of I 485), my lawyer has the rest.
They are definitely approving beyond June 8th but there are many people with RD's from May 07 and before and much older priority dates still waiting. Do not read too much into the approvals you see the approvals are somewhat random to say the least.

Regarding my I-485 appln. status - I do remember seeing "Request for Evidence" status before. Currently I see "Request for Evidence Response Review". I see this status change although there are no LUDs.

Similar to this, we need as many efforts as we can have.
To further continue this effort, I would suggest writing letters to your local congress rep & Senator, particularly those who have been waiting for over 5 years.
More effective approach will be to contact local media.
Since we have a unique situation, I would recommend start a request to separate legal employment based migrants from other categories.
BOTTOM LINE: We can not wait for CIR, this is NOT about comprehensive immigration reform, this is a requirement from current employment based immigration system.
Similar to this, we need as many efforts as we can have.

This is the precise reason I am staying away from IV, people just dont show any civility in the forum discussions and starts name calling or shot down the people who ask questions.
If IV comes up with just one single GOAL of reducing the curent EB backlog for the restorgressed categories, people even from RoW countries will start participating in IV campaign and support IV's advocacy efforts in terms of their donations and volunteering for IV.
Reducing the current EB backlog will help everyone.

We don't have a paid call center or support center.
If you are getting good customer service elsewhere, its coming out of your money.

I have H1-b petition approval but i dont have h1-I-94 card.

Read the approval letter. It states that you would need to travel outside the US and apply for H1 visa at US Consulate abroad. If your visa is granted then you can re-enter US with new I-94 card. Stay inside US without a valid I-94 is considered Out-Of-Status.

one another suggestion I have to make is this:
We need to get Indian/Chinese community (citizens) involved to fight for us.
We need to have some of them as leaders in the IV. (they could be people who have struggled with the EB process and identify with us) they could be highly successful Indian/chinese or other countries businessmen/scientists/media personal etc etc (if possible)
Remember the strength of the ilegal community is that their legal brothers and sisters dont hate them but always stand with them.
We somehow ( I have no clue how) need to get this to happen. Also each one of us who are currently here should make a pledge that "Even if my card is printed, I will continue to use the extra freedom that I got to always stand up and fight for my brothers and sisters who are struggling with this system".

It looks like you are aware of some USCIS internal policy that is not known to all. I used to think that the policy was based on the per country quota for each category. Maybe you can enlighten us all. What is the acceptable gap in PDs between EB2 and EB3 for AOS approvals? In your example it seems to be less than 4 years. Can someone with a PD of 2005 (EB2) get approved before another person with a PD of 2001 (EB3). Since you seem to understand the policy so well, could you please explain it in detail with specifics?

You are bringing nothing new. Kid waiting in India for his first flight to USA know that. You have to have a eye to see the big picture. If you analyze the whole design and take the perspective country based... You will find that retrogression policy in addition to FIFO's ultimate effect is - for an example-EB2-India: 2006 PD would not be able to get his GC before EB3-2002. But somebody must not be mentally challenged to derive that. It is not long wait. From next bulletin you will start seeing pattern.
