Almost One Year Later

Crimson Erotica Extended

It’s amazing! Time sure flies. Almost one year has passed since I was released from prison; read, laid off from my workplace of over 20 years. Hell! If I was in prison, I would have been released on early parole already years ago. LOL

I know I’ve not updated my blog for a long time, but there really is nothing new to tell. Most of my days are filled with similar day to day activities. There has not been anything new and exciting to break the daily routine, a routine I enjoy and find comfort in. The past year has been very relaxing and, for the most part, very enjoyable. What did I do for all this time? My CGI art mostly. Plus, a bit of photography, and some other pursuits as well. But, mostly my 3D art.

As I am about to begin my second, and final, year of freedom, I find myself having to take the courses that I had planned on taking for my new career move. This fall will begin my study of English grammar to reacquaint myself with the basic building blocks of the English language. This fall also begins my study of the Korean language just so that I am not completely lost and helpless when I get to Korea at the end of next year. Then, next spring, or summer, I will take the CELTA course and obtain my certificate as a teacher of English as a second/foreign language. That should put me into late summer, or early fall. Time to look for a position overseas at this point. If all goes according to plan, and so far most things have, I should be on my way to Korea by November/December, 2009.

There has been only one major hurdle since my original research into teaching in Korea, and that has been a change in work visa requirements. It is now a very long and complicated affair far removed from the easy access of what it used to be. I even contemplated going to Taiwan instead because of this. But, in the end, I decided to jump through the hoops for Korea. I think, based on my research, it is still the better country to teach in of the two. I hope I’m right about that. Time will tell.

So, for the next couple of months, I can still pursue my 3D art. After the summer ends, though, I may not be able to devote as much time to it as I would like to. But, that’s life!
