On a fully updated install of 10.4.3 on my latest rev iBook, I have never seen myspace freeze. I was going to use firefox until I found out that when I visited myspace in firefox CPU usage spiked. For some reason it doesn't do that in safari, so until that changes, I'm staying with safari.
But the point of all this was, I have no problems at all on safari.
I do not have WMP installed, therefore I get that plugin not found message, I just hit cancel, never once has myspace frozen on me.

Well, let's wait until somone receives one and tells us exactly what chip it is.
If it a new G4, then it may better address DDR RAM. That, and the larger L2 cache, would be worth $500 to me.
However, whether you'll utilize the power is dependent on what you do. Try going to an Apple store, and using their machines with the processor monitor open. Run what you would normally run each day.
If you don't peg out both processors, then you don't need more machine. I always have 20 apps and 25 binaries running on top of the OS, so my processor is usually pegged at all times. I have a full load of RAM, and still get pageouts.
For users who are doing office type work (web, mail, Office, etc.) the Dual 867 should be more than enough. For those working with audio, Photoshop, compilers, or running 24/7 services, the Dual Gig should be fine. If you want to do some rendering, run A LOT of services, are a video junkie, or just need to be the fastest, get the Dual 1.25.
But don't buy anything until we hear some more about what's in the 1.25...

I followed it all the way up to OctaMED Pro. ;)
Oooh, I think I remember that vaguely...But four channels was the best. You had to use up two channels at a time to actually get the sound out of both speakers. But some of the music was *amazing*... Ahhh, good old 8-bit Ensoniq guts. :)

Thank you, again. Your generosity is making my life much easier. I am making progress in my trying to plow through the online stuff, as well as two texts on R that I have bought. I wish they had taught R rather than SAS when I was in school. SAS is so hard to afford, that once people graduate they find themselves having learned something they can't use.
On to the next problem.

**Kernal Panic Issue I THINK?***
Hi I am having issues with my White Apple Macbook 13" 2.4ghz late 2008 model...One of the macbook memory slots is damaged but the other one is good...It runs fine and all before until now... How do I fix this and salvage this mac? I took apart my macbook and I found out that the adhesive on the macbook CPU + Heatsink is look...I can not screw in any of the screws to the heat sink as it does not fit because it dosent seem the case has any screw holes in it ( I just replaced the bottom housing)...
What do I need to buy the make the gray adhesive under the heat sink and on the CPU it self to make it stick? Will it fix the "shut down / restart " (kernal panic screen issue? )
**I have attached pictures for you guys to see. Let me know what I need to do...thank you..**

As a compromise, I say use of more than 3 punctuation marks in a no-no. Unless the MR poster has been named SJ's replacement. I'll also make allowance for anyone replacing Schiller, Ive or Cook

Hi, if I want to update my jailbroken iPhone will I need to restore it before (or at any point during)?
I realise I'll lose my jailbreak, but I'm just wondering if it would require a restore.
(Sorry if it's been asked over and over again but I can't find anything that directly answers this question.)
To answer your question, I just upgraded from JB 4.3.1 to JB 4.3.2 without restoring. Just updated to stock 4.3.2 in iTunes, then ran redsn0w over it to jailbreak, then reinstalled all my JB packages.
Not sure if not going through a full restore will have any adverse affects, I certainly haven't noticed any yet though!

Is anyone running Lion on a lower-powered machine? I'd like to hear feedback on those who have tried it on an 11" MBA.
tried Lion with my 11" base air but with 4 gig of rams. smooth as butter. i think the air is capable running Lion without any hiccups. make sure the minimum ram is 4GB.

Only three things come to mind:
1) That you are inadvertently calling mysqli_close somewhere before a query or ping, maybe in one of your includes.
2) You are overwriting $conn somewhere else.
3) Some PHP bug in an older version of PHP perhaps. Are you guys running on CentOS / RHEL? If so I would suggest upgrading to 5.2 from the testing repos and see if that helps.

Thanks, that is the method I have been using. It just seems a bit inelegant!
I tend to agree. It is a bit of a pain.

BTW: The 1gb shuffle is UK99.01 over here.
About US$186...
So that's why $30 seems fairly reasonable from a UK point of view.
Well... from my point of view anyway.

Oh I would definitely advise you to switch to Earthlink. AOL is satan, I had to report them to the BBB because they refused to give me a refund when I cancelled service. Then, 3 months after I cancelled, they re-activated my account and started trying to draft money from my credit card. It was a big nightmare and my bank had to suspend AOL from charging me.
Earthlink is great because they are simple and don't BS you all the time. The only downside is they try to send you junk mail about their services, even when you don't want it. But I don't use their email, so it's not a problem.
Good luck!

I had a train ride from London to Aberystwyth (long!!!!) and I played "Syphon Filter" the entire way. It's an awesome game and likely my favorite so far on the PSP. I've also had a blast with Lumines, but it can be a bit stressful! Someone on here mentioned the DS. In ALL honesty. The DS Lite is a better machine than the PSP. You should fold her up and dip it in your pocket. Unlike the PSP which you always have to be careful with and wait for it to load. The only reason I still use the PSP is because of the video feature. I have PSPware and often put family guy episodes and such on it. But in the games department I find myself playing my girlfriend's DS Lite more than anything. I played Mario on the plane the other day for 4 hours. Either way, you'll have fun.

I've read in a few places that doing a restore as new on your phone, and then manually syncing over the apps and playlists, can increase your battery.
