Tell me one country in this world which is giving 140K GC for skilled immigrants and alomst 1 million GCs for immigrants...
...........and the point you're trying to make is???
If you don't want a GC, why are you on this forum and making anti-GC statement. A pro-GC person would agree with this statement unequivocally.

Because you are a man and you are from Mars. Men are that way .. they always live in future and somehow completely forget that its the present that they need to live fully and enjoy to the maximum extent. Women live more in present and that's why you will see very few of them stressing themselves out on these forums.
My wife always reminds me this. According to her, its ok to read forums and keep yourself updates with what's going on ... but don't get to much into it, otherwise you will loose your peace of mind.
So I have found my own way ... I am completely into these forums and no matter how hard I try I can not escape from it (you remember.. I am from Mars ... worrying about future is my nature ... so after I get my GC, I will find next topic to worry about ... may it will be abut the US economy or may be how my son's future shapes up), but at the same time I try to convert my frustration to a positive energy by thinking new ways to solve the problem, and contributing them to various forums at IV.
I think you have reached to a state, where you feel disturbed. I would recommend that contribute to IV in a positive manner .... it may be ideas, money, support, organizational work or any other thing. I think this is the only way you can recover from this GC Depression.

Source:Immigration reformers press WH - First Read - msnbc.com (http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/06/24/1976186.aspx)
From NBC's Mark Murray
In advance of President Obama's meeting tomorrow to discuss immigration reform with congressional Democrats and Republicans, immigration advocates held a conference call today with reporters, urging the Obama administration to make immigration a priority -- this year.
Bishop Jaime Soto of Sacramento said that tomorrow's meeting will tell them whether the White House is serious about enacting comprehensive immigration reform or whether it's timid. "Delaying immigration reform will be a mistake," he said, arguing that the country can no longer accept the status quo.
Tamar Jacoby, president and CEO of ImmigrationWorks USA, added that when the economy begins to recover, employers will need immigrant labor. "This is the time to do it. This is the time to start preparing for the economic recovery."
Frank Sharry, executive director of America's Voice, said it was smart policy and smart politics to take up immigration reform. He noted that Obama was elected in no small part because independent voters thought he and the Democrats were best able to find solutions to challenging problems like immigration. He also said Republicans "will have a huge price to pay" if they are seen as blocking immigration reform and scapegoating immigrants and Latinos.
Asked about Robert Gibbs' recent comment that the "math" might be against immigration reform this year, Sharry replied, "When it comes to counting votes in the U.S. Congress, we tend to look to Harry Reid before Robert Gibbs."
Senate Majority Leader Reid, per Sharry, has said that the votes are there

easyvishwak, there is a common disclaimer in any of the internet forums that you take the information with a pinch of salt. people post their experiences, whether to follow or not is totally your call. Next time, I wont be so polite when writing my response because you mentioned some unnecessary things in your response to my post. So, please do not aggrevate me. that was my experience, whether you want to take it or not, or, if others want to take it or not is totally upto them. same way, u dont speak for others. keep it to the point and dont do any personal attacks.
Hey does my posting is offending you, if sorry man.
I'm just concerned as we see lot of people who come here to gain knowledge.
And some lazy guys see postings and take them granted you know. Thats why I don't want someone to be in that situation. Have nice evening my friend.

Your employer will have to file a PERM and I-140 and once I-140 is approved in EB-2 with earlier EB-3 PD, request USCIS to adjudicate your pending I-1485 using the newly approved EB-2 I-140. No need to file another I-485 if you already have one pending.
Regarding the fee, there is no filing fee for PERM. All the costs are related to advertising and lawyer fee. I have no idea how much the fee for the whole process is or what attorney's charge as I have never paid anything for any of my immigration process so far (11 yrs in US). Technically, you are not supposed to pay anything, only employer should pick up the fee. You can pay the premium processing fee wherever applicable.
What about if the I-140(EB2) rejected?. The 485 will be rejected too?. What are the possibilities of I-140 rejection?
Thanks

I wonder nobody cares now that they have got capgap relief and extended OPT. But I wonder what will happen when finally a student after 29 months of OPT apply and this would keep on accumulating. It would get very dirty and ugly for students to even reach to Green Card stage. Forget about retrogression :(

Hi Rajakannan:
You fall under either of the following two.
Positive thinking: You are a Gandhi
Realistic Thinking: You are smart .
Smart enough to mislead the crowd to postpone, so that you would get atleast yoursdone.
Man: be realistic.. people are waiting for four years like fools,, as of today there is no difference between 2003 Sept PD or 2007 May PD..
I donot even understand, how you can think like this...
Please donot open thiskind of discussion, people have better things to do in life than reading this..
Myself: I donot even waste a single min on this kind of threads, just wanted to request you to be more realistic...
BTW: can you post your PD details...
best wishes.
I don't have the necessity to postpone I have filed mine long time back. Iam glasd Atleast 40% agrees to my idea who care about others .. i just need 20% more to get the majority  I would appreciate if we can all focus on the real problem rather than individuals.

Slight clarification to the new regulations:
Based on the "If they return from the USA after having used the visa" exemption, you don't need a transit visa for the USA-Germany-India leg. But for the return you'll either need an AP+transit visa OR a valid USA visa.
This exemption (and regulation) is the same as that for France. And I just traveled to India and back (in Dec2010) through Paris on expired USA visa and therefore know the above to be true (at least for France).
