The view outside the window. It's snowing and getting dark, but it's hard to tell from this photo.
We arrived quite late in the afternoon and by the time we found our accommodation for the night, the sunlight was almost gone. It was December 19 and just a day, or two before the winter solstice. Snow had started falling and the temperatures dropped quite a bit. It was good to find a warm place to stay. Of course, we made the reservation a few days before heading out, so this was not a problem. There were five of us altogether staying in the small little room. It was fun! LOL
We stayed at a traditional styled guest house (the Hakindang) inside the Hanok VIllage. It was a very nice little place that reminded me of similar places that I had seen in the movies. But, with a few modern conveniences like a bathroom and heated floors (ondol style heating) for warmth. With a warm floor and a slightly open window for fresh air to prevent overheating, it was great. So very comfy and cozy. Oh, yes. It's sleeping on the floor. But, it was quite comfortable as the mattresses were quite good and the floor not that hard.
And, the view outside the window was quite nice, too.
