I heard that we have to provide all the address where we stayed in USA for filing I485. But very first time I came to USA almost 6-7 years back for short term and I do not remeber the actual address. Basically i do not remeber very first two address when I came here for short term. Is it a matter of concern.

I have sent the letters today to WH and IV.
I have also sent group emails to my batchmates from my engg college asking them to join IV. I think everyone should do that - this will help IV to Increase its Memberships.
I had one more suggestion too - (this has recd less support in the past).
we need to put in a statement that many legals are not buying a house because of the uncertainity in the GC process. even the congressmen will be more patient with our cause when we mention housing.

Ask that customer service woman to give this to you in writing.
Yes, They assured me that the plan is for unlimited...also covers all the networks (Initiall y some of them thought that it's only applicable for certain networks)....there is no restrictions at all...any ways I will re confirm with them.....
The only problem with them are taxes, there are other VOIP phones in the market that they are charging just 3-4 dollars as taxes, whereas vonage is charging more than 8 dollars which is killing part.....

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see that you are able to post messages.
Your input and suggestions are excellent. IV (Immigration Voice) is working on the exact things you pointed very clearly. We will together make the difference with the upcoming bill. IV is today 5 days old. I think IV has made very good progress in last 5 days given the fact that most people are in holidaying mood and not paying much attention. But there is a long way to go. I would urge you to please actively participate in discussions and other activities to spread the word around to your friends and family with the request that they as well send the same message to their friends. You could help by posting the flyer in the attached file in places like Indian/Chinese/Philipino stores/restaurants/other meeting places and request your friends to do the same. This is the first step towards creating awareness to bring everybody facing this problem on common platform.
I agree 100% that misinformation, stereotyping, unorganized campaign with hastily typed faxes/messages by individuals hurt us in S1932. There were a lot of motivated individuals but most of us were not unable to create a concrete strategy to make the dent in S1932 as there was not platform to join hands. We are all on H1s/EADs and facing severe problems due to retrogression. We are all learning as this campaign is picking up steam. The idea is to be more organized. We have received personal emails and phone calls from lot of motivated individuals spread all around the county. All of these individuals want to see solution to retrogression issue. We need more individuals to come forward to actively participate for this cause.
Please continue to provide your input and contribution for this cause. Please invite more individuals to participate on this forum. We are a very young organization and maybe after 6 months, once all this is over for good, we will look back and thank individuals like yourself who�s encouraging words and support are so important for the success of this cause.

Heard the same from my lawyer, she has changed her tune completely in 2 days. Now she says that she is hearing the same thing and is possible. They are working through the weekend and has asked me to keep my blackberry on me at all times as they will be providing emails updates every 4 hours or if and when the said bulletin is released.

I am a silent visitor of this website.
Just my 2 cents... Don't think USA is like India where you can do something forcefully. Why don't you guys understand the real problem of USCIS.
Do you think that by sending flower to USCIS will force them to make EB2/EB3 current for 2005/2006/2007 guys??
Please try to understand their problem.
Also India is the great. Why don't you guys just think that India is your home country where you are born and brought up. Why you people can't just wait and watch?? If nothing happens to the so called GC, then why don't you think to pack up and go back to India???????
My sincere request, please don't do rally, you might be arrested......you never know what they can do..... Don't you think that, it is better to go back to India rather than being embarrassed here in US???

I would suggest getting involved with IV work more. Then you will understand how things work in this country. You have to raise your voices (not in defiance but as a way to appraise or educate someone about issues).
When you meet legislators' and their staff, you are treated with respect, irrespective of their stand on immigration. Why fear when there is nothing to lose?

NO Matter how many people say "Take it easy" its simply not possible, you will have to be a superhuman to do that. Sure its stressfull but no more stressful than boarding your first flight to USA. no more stressful than attending 1st H1B interview at the consulate or your first client interview. So in the end, we have been through all the hurdles with most of us surviving 2001-2002 job markets and now is 2007.
The point is we have been through all that successfully and thats a BIG WIN. So we will be through this too, but not without stress. The day we decided to come to USA and until now we have been successful as we are resourceful and can improvise at a short notice and we will. We are shrewd individuals and We Will PREVAIL.

But are n't they proposing 50 % rule.. how can a small desi company afford 50 % US citizen staff ? That is why may be people think consulting companies will not work.

I do not think so, may be the senators are considering highschool dropouts to handle the "high skilled" jobs :), I read somewhere about a recent survey and only 27% of 25-45 age group of population has a college degree in all discipline. Though there are many ways to contact uscis, I don't think that anything will help. I did the first 6 ways as mentioed in link, but nothing helped so far. 7 to 12 are missing. All those inquiries would tell you where you are at, but no method would trigger the IO to take your case and approve it.
It has been almost 60 days since I opened an SR. I'm still under Intial Review. Not even LUD.
Had two infopasses, but no requests submitted thru infopass.
Contacted Senator Carl Levin's Office, the worst office I would say. The lady who looks after immigration does not even care about your need. Just made an inquiry on my behalf and said that it is in "Initial Review", which I knew already. She is not ready to help further.
Contacted uscis several times, but got the same response from all CSRs "WAIT".
I have contacted Ombudsman and submitted 7001. Not sure if they will also only make the inquiry or will really try to find out what is holding my approval
So, I am almost like "gave up" for now. Trying to have the mind-set "God knows when to give me GC"

yes, but july 2007 VB and the subsequent USCIS change related to approving cases with pending namechecks added a significant number awaiting for approval. Then a couple of months back USCIS woke up from slumber or had a shot of 100 proof single malt, re read some law and decided that the overflow allocation should be changed. The result is that there will be next to nothing for EB3 (for that matter EB2 will also have less overflow available) as they clear the backlogs, i doubt anything besides a recapture in the short term and a significant rehaul in the long term will work...i hope i am wrong but EB3 I and C are in for a long wait.

For last 10 years EB3 took numbers equally from EB2 and EB1. Even when EB2 was retrogressed EB2 numbers where made available to EB3.

My company applied 100 485's . 85 from NSC and 15 from TSC (140 aproval). All NSC people got receipts, some of got FP's also. But TSC people still waiting for checks to be cleared.
