Answer of first question, yes you can use your old PD only if your current employer (old if you change job) does not revoke it.
second answer, you can apply in perm-eb2 with new employer as you now have more exp. (old job).

My wife graduated in December from an ADN program in the US. She passed her NCLEX last month and has been working as an RN since then. She is working on an EAD based on my 485 application.
I believe a GNM and B'sc (Nursing) will both work in the US (From my reading only 1 state South Dakota exclusively requires BSN), but for foreign qualified nurses in addition to the education they require minimum 1 yr clinical care experience before sitting for the exam. They also will need to be qualified as RN's by their respective state nursing board or counsil in India.

Hello All - I understand from the website that the people already working in the US qualify for an emergency appointment if they are returning back to work in the US. Does anyone if this rule is also applicable it is the first time you are getting a H1-B visa stamp? I got a COS and am planning to get a stamp in December. I know that more dates are available now .. but was wondering if the need arises will I eligible for emergency appointment?

Hi,
My wife and I are currently working on EAD and have used the AP to entry the US. We will be going to the Canadian consulate to apply for Canadian Visa (want to go on vacation). I had the following questions:-
1) What all papers are required?
2) How long will they issue the canadian visa for? I am planning on obtaining a multiple entry visa. When I was on H1 they issued me a visa which was till the end of my H1 expiration date.

I paper filed my EAD at NSC last month. RD was 23rd Sept & ND was 2nd Oct.
Looks like yours is a longer delay. Not sure what can be done here. Please keep checking to see if check's are cleared.

I am planning on getting my H1 done for this year... i have talked to a couple of people about the same and someone said thai i might have Pay to get my H1 Processed and get the job.... is it a right choice to make....

but i read somewhere that its better to send chest X-Ray Report with I-693 so that USCIS will not get any excuse to send RFE in the future.

My wife renewed her license showing 485 receipt as the evidence. I think the PA DMV Manual says that if your AOS application is in progress , You can renew your license for 1 year. We did not need to show the EAD.

It is partly my fault as I should have noticed when I started a new project in end August in South Carolina.
But now looking at my W2 it shows that my employer has been filing taxes in my previous state Missouri for the entire year. How should I go about correcting this? I was in Missouri for 5 months and in South Carolina for the remainder. In which state should I file my tax too?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

1) Have anyone used Yourmaninindia or Sahara Care or any other service to deposit H1 forms at VFS Mumbai. For Mumbai consulate, the forms need to be submitted 3 days prior to Visa Interview and they do not accept courier :mad:
2) I recently found that if you have an appointment at one of the consulates in Mexico, you can Fax the 797 and get PMIS verified in advance.
Do we need to submit the entire H1 fee for appointment ? If there is a cheaper way, I am thinking of taking an appointment , get PMIS verified and cancel the appointment.
3) Any idea if they do a PMIS verification for H1 extensions (same company) as well ?

My I-485 status is updated with the below message. LUD 05/21/2009. Surprisingly they mailed the document on 09 March 2009 and status update is on 05/21/2009
