I've never had any issues with the latest updates, so I don't really care with 10.4.8...but I wish Safari could be less memory-hungry, or use less virtual memory...that's all.Me too. And I wish Safari had a "Sure you want to quit?" dialog box for those times when we accidentally do a Command + Q in the dark when we thought we were doing a switch application Command + Tab.
Glad to hear it's in Leopard. But having to wait for an entirely new system version to get a little helpful dialog box in one little application seems like an expensive unnecessary delay.

I already took it up with Developer Relations aka dev support, they said sorry soon. I actually got the disc anyway from my co-worker who went to WWDC, but I'm annoyed because I work with other select developers on a project, and I'd like to start checking out documentation on core animation, and some of the new features for a new application we want to build
Why are you asking here? Why not call Apple developer relations and ask them?
I'm not going to say Microsoft is better than Apple as far as development, because XCode rocks, however MS is like Dell.... You can compare retail price of a Dell and a Mac and the mac will be cheeper however Dell always has some discount coupon. MS does the same sort of thing, if you are a Student you can get full on access to beta builds from day one, like you were Adobe. MS always has some discount, or deal you can get for their premium tools. Granted I don't think that's a good strategy for an OS, (great way to have features stolen) but being an Apple select developer (i assume you are too) the login is Underwhelming compared to what you get with MS. I wish Apple had more mailing lists, forums, private stuff for people who paid. For example anyone can have access to the cocoa-dev mailing list, which is a good thing, but if say I wanted to discuss core-animation with other developers, and Apple programmers, I'm not allowed to do this, and there is no private lists for select developers to discuss with each other.
I think in general apple needs to provide more ways for the paying developers to communicate with each other. I've learned everything I know about XCode and programming from the mailing lists, I'd love apple to have private web based discussion forums for paying developers.

Check the DNS settings in network setup in your computers, and in your router/modem. See what you have. Your ISP should have servers they recommend, try them. Or you can search the internet for other DNS servers, try some public ones out, like the aforementioned Google.
If they are set fine in your router/modem, you can set your computers to nothing or to the IP of your router, which is usually something like 192.168.0.1.
I've seen computers (or modems) that end up with half a dozen DNS servers listed, maybe not even typed in properly, and it would sit and wait with a blank page for 5 seconds before loading any webpage. Cleaning up DNS with a good server usually drops that wait time.
I also once had a similar problem to Popeye's, where I couldn't go to certain websites. I can't remember specifics, I think I replaced my Qwest DNS with Verizon's or something and it cleaned that up. That was many years ago, it's a little foggy.

Why would Apple do what has failed all other manufactures during the time Apple's one model mantra have eaten sales from other manufactures?
Because now Android with a range of sizes is eating iPhone sales.
Go into a Best Buy and look at all the Androids with larger screens, and some with smaller screens and lower prices. Apple needs to compete with that...

I drove past a station today; 218.9 NZ cents per litre (US$6.15 per gallon). I remember when it was 90.9...
If my math was right then that would've been about $2.55 US per gallon. I remember that as well and less.
I remember $1.89 in NY and before I moved to FL and use to visit (2002 and up days) gas down here was like $1.17 a gallon.
Now in Miami gas is about $3.69, down from $3.79 a couple days ago.
These prices are all for regular

I thought one of the nice thing was that its all in one place, you don't have to look for it... thats what I liked about Keynote. You can add fonts and colors items to the toolbar AFAIK.

I might just be missing something here but how does this imply that Apple is putting thunderbolt in here?
I can see where they made the minidisplay port (which is the same form factor as thunderbolt) a dual channel now instead of just a one way channel but wouldn't it say thunderbolt instead of minidisplay port? or is a dual channel minidisplay port just a thunderbolt port? and if minidisplay is on the current 30-pin how is it currently used--do you need an adapter for USB to minidisplay?
i guess i am kind of answering my own question here but does that mean in the future if apple were to say make its own TV one could use the 30-pin connector to plug right into the back of a TV (into a minidisplay port) and play movies/music like that without the need for an HDMI cable?

My opinion is that Thunderbolt was not publicly announced when this was originally submitted so call it a dual channel display port so that it does not get leaked out before they announce it. It will probably be corrected/resubmitted as Thunderbolt when and if it comes to be.
