From view source it is difficult to find whether it is manually or automatically updated. But from this site it is easier to identify becos the person who updated this did leave a mark. I agree with you....You should be able to file the G28 form to get someone else to be yr representative 2 or 4
..
My understanding is that you need to send a Cancel G-28 notice (as a simple letter, or using a G-28 form) to USCIS. Your current attorney does not have to do anything. You hired your attorney, so you can drop him/her anytime and advise USCIS.

I guess everything needs to go through the house conference. However there is a much better chance to attach it to the PACE act since Sensenbrenner may not be sitting in that conference at all. PACE act goes to this committe:

It's none of the Judical committe's business. It will be much better if the Senate just drops the contraversial immigration bill and start to work on this bill. Attaching EB to immigration bill is really dangerous and may just futher delay everything. So pushing the immigration bill may not be a wise thing for us to do.
Don't forget that the House (Anti) Immigration Caucus has 92 members -- be assured that if not Sensenbrenner it will be another equally virulent member. Also, conference committees are nominated by the leader of the house -- nothing to stop them from nominating anyone they want.

I got my licensed extended till EAD expiry date and they have given me an month more than EAD expiry date, this was done in Wayne, NJ, and I know atleast 20 people who got their license extended on base of EAD in Wayne. Your friend might not have provided other required documents, you just dont get license renewed on base of EAD only, you have to provide address proof, SS etc. Your friend might have missed some of the documents or he might have shown attitude to the the clerk, or that clerk might have taken lessons from USCIS employees in creating their own rule.
A freind of mine had two years EAD and don't have H1 anymore. His drivers License was denied as EAD is not considered a valid document for drivers License extention.
This happened in Wayne , NJ.

I found out (via attorney) that the right way to do it is to send a new G-28 form to USCIS. Put your name as a petitioner and as a representative, check box 4 (other) and write "I would like to represent myself in all matters related to my I-485 filing".

what am I missing here? other than the hassle of getting paper copies filled out/ printed and the advantage of getting a refund a few weeks earlier, what is the advantage of e-filing?
Those are pretty desirable advantages plus there is a chance that your mail could be lost and there is no confirmation with paper filing!

The only catch could be on the MMR. MMR needs two vaccinations. The two vaccines nmeed to have a 1 month gap. So if you take one and to medical exam, they will force you take the 2'nd one right there. Ofcourse they don't care about the gap since they want to make money
